Glencore Technology joins IME 2025 as it expands into India

Glencore Technology joins the International Mining, Equipment & Minerals Exhibition (IME) in Kolkata, marking the beginning of a stronger presence in India.
IME 2025, the 11th edition of this biennial event, is India’s premier exhibition for the mining, minerals, and machinery industries. It will feature delegates from over 25 countries, including Amitesh Ranjan – Glencore Technology’s General Manager of Sales for India.
Following the establishment of a permanent office in Mumbai in early 2025, the company aims to deepen its local presence and partnerships. As part of this effort, Amitesh will represent Glencore Technology at Austrade’s Australian pavilion, showcasing its leading suite of technology solutions. The company has several established installations in India, with its ISAKIDD™ refinery and cathode plate technologies successfully operating at Sterlite Silvasa and Birla Copper. However, several of its other world-leading solutions – including the IsaMill™ and Jameson Cell - are yet to be introduced to the region on a larger scale.
Speaking on the opportunity, Amitesh explains:

The IsaMill™ delivers efficient fine grinding, while the Jameson Cell delivers superior grade and recovery, all with a much smaller footprint. Together, they give Indian plants a proven way to achieve world-class efficiency and sustainability.”
