  • As the smelting industry increasingly relies on data to drive performance, selecting the right Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) has never been more critical. KPIs serve as vital tools for monitoring and optimizing operations, helping metallurgical plants achieve greater efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall performance. However, the true value of KPIs is realized only when they are strategically chosen—focused on controllable factors and easily understood by all stakeholders.

During this session you will learn:

     - Why smelting KPIs are useful
     - Aspects to consider when choosing smelting KPIs
     - Examples of KPIs used in the ISASMELT™ furnace

  • From Oxide to Sulphide: Creating Value with Additional Life Of Mine Gold Production

    Language: English

    Presentation Date: February 2025

This webinar will explore the variations in recoveries across different ore body layers and the treatment methods that can be employed to ensure ongoing operations, with a focus on Glencore Technology's equipment and processing options.

  • The term ‘refractory’ should not be seen as a challenge when it comes to gold extraction. As free-milling oxide ores become increasingly depleted, mining operations are looking to extend their life by tapping into the underlying sulphide zone.

Glencore Technology offers innovative, proven solutions that can be applied individually or in combination to enhance recoveries for both Greenfields and Brownfields operations targeting refractory deposits.

Technology: IsaMill™

  • How IsaMill™ Can Cut Your Secondary Grinding Energy in Half

    Language: English

    Presentation Date: September 2024

In this presentation, our experts will take you through:

     - An overview of the IsaMill™ technology.

     - Why Glencore Technology is moving into Coarse Grinding trials now.

     - The efficiency gains that can be made when using an IsaMill™ upfront in your circuit.

  • Glencore Technology conducted a Secondary Grinding replacement trial at Hudbay’s Stall Mill in Manitoba, Canada. The purpose of this trial was to conduct a proof-of-concept test to demonstrate the effects of 8micron and 10 micron ceramic media in an IsaMill™ and investigate the influence of media SG. In these trials, substantial reductions (>50%) in specific energy were observed compared to tumbling mills; this presentation outlines the findings of that large-scale testwork campaign and the potential for the IsaMill™ operating in coarser duties.

Technology: Jameson Concentrator

  • More from Less with Jameson Concentrator

    Language: English

    Presentation Date: August 2024

In this  presentation, our experts will address the differences between the conventional and Jameson Concentrator design approaches with a focus on the application of Jameson Cells in rougher / scavenger duty with coarser feed. Furthermore, it will show the key findings of a trade-off study between a conventional circuit and a Jameson Concentrator supported by other case studies and test results.

  • It is possible to significantly cut OPEX and CAPEX of new flotation plants with the Jameson Concentrator.

Residence time has remained the main design criteria for conventional flotation circuits made up of mechanical cells. Increasing the volume of mechanical cells has been the major trend in the industry to manage high throughput and slow flotation kinetics over the last 100 years. However, the Jameson Cell offers unparallelled fast flotation kinetics with its improved hydrodynamics and small air bubble size. Leveraging fast flotation kinetics and high upgrade ratios, the Jameson Concentrator is a small-footprint solution that can reduce CAPEX and OPEX of new projects.

  • Is CAPEX becoming a restriction for your project?

Junior mining companies often face CAPEX constraints. This makes it difficult to finance a complete processing plant. Glencore Technology offers modular and flexible technologies that allow you to improve your flowsheet in stages. Small increases in production and revenue are achieved. This revenue can be used to build the downstream areas of the plant. This webinar will show you some of our technologies and the economic advantages of a staged implementation over conventional plant construction.
